EKG (i.e. ECG, electrocardiogram) is the recording of electrical impulses created by the heart. The EKG is used to screen your pet’s cardiac health, and help with the diagnosis of multiple different heart diseases.
During this test, your pet is laying down with electrodes that are attached to the skin using gentle clips. It takes only a few minutes to obtain the electrical readings. The resulting graphs are submitted to a board-certified cardiologist for assessment and interpretation.
An EKG is a safe, rapid test that provides valuable information about your pet’s heart health.
