Radiographs, or x-rays, are a very useful diagnostic method. With this imaging modality, we visualize the silhouette of internal structures such as the lungs, heart, major blood vessels, abdominal contents and the skeletal system. The resulting image will be black and white with shades of grey representing the different structures. Our doctors will review your pet’s radiographs as soon as they are taken. In addition, your pet’s radiographs will be sent to a team of board-certified veterinary radiologists for in-depth interpretation with a corresponding detailed report of the findings.
Both of our locations offer digital radiographs. Digital radiology units expose your pet to a much lower dose of radiation, and create images of much higher quality/detail, compared to traditional film radiology.
